Save Our Strays, Inc.  (S.O.S.)is an all volunteer Cat Adoption Organization, headquartered in Central New Jersey.  It endeavors to place unwanted, surrendered, abused, abandoned, or stray cats and kittens in loving permanent homes.

              Cats available for adoption have been tested for FelV/FIV, have had the appropriate vaccinations, and, if old enough, have been spayed/neutered. They have been socialized in foster homes, some have been shown in ACFA Cat Shows, and many are "canine-friendly".

               S.O.S. exists for the good of its feline clients and to protect them from cruelty. Therefore, S.O.S. has a moral obligation not to place an animal in a home unless it is one where the adoptee will be part of a family, receive proper veternarian care, food, water, companionship, and a grooming, now and then.

               All adoptees should be licensed and kept on family property in compliance with local laws. All adoptees must be spayed or neutered, if this has not already been done, to prevent the birth of more homeless and unwanted cats.  In other words, every adoptee must go to a good home --- "not just any home....."

Only a "Forever Home" with responsible and loving owners is good enough for these animals who have suffered so much already.
